EuroSkills vocational championships to be held in Geneva in 2029

The canton of Geneva will host EuroSkills 2029, the event at which Europe's best trainees will compete against each other and which will be held in Switzerland for the first time.
Europe's best apprentices will meet at Palexpo for EuroSkills from September 26 to 30, 2029. This event of international importance represents a unique opportunity for Switzerland, and Geneva in particular, to demonstrate its excellence in vocational training, the Canton of Geneva announced on Thursday.
EuroSkills is financially supported by the State Secretariat for Research and Education and other partners. Once Geneva has been awarded the contract, the authorities and social partners will take care of the organization of the event under the chairmanship of Sophie Dubuis, Vice President of the Swiss Employers' Association. Preparations will be made in close cooperation with the SwissSkills Foundation and the Swiss Confederation.
