EY honors entrepreneurial personalities of the year 2024

They develop four-legged robots, transport heavy goods or invent gels to relieve pain: six entrepreneurs were awarded the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2024" prize by consultancy firm EY on Friday.
In the "Industry, High-Tech & Life Sciences" category, the consulting firm honored Silvia Scherer, co-founder of the Geneva-based company Aptissen. With the injectable gel Synolis, the company has launched an innovative product that helps to quickly restore mobility and provide long-lasting pain relief, according to the jury.
Andrea Galli, CEO of the Pini Group, was honored in the "Services & Trade" category. The company specializes in the planning and management of complex infrastructure projects - worldwide.
In the "Family Business" category, the award went to Esther Studer, Peter Galliker and Rolf Galliker from Lucerne-based Galliker Transport AG. They are the third generation to run the company and are an entrepreneurial family par excellence.
Péter Fankhauser was honored as an "Emerging Entrepreneur". He is co-founder of the ETH spin-off Anybotics, which uses its four-legged robots - equipped with artificial intelligence - to relieve workers in the oil, gas and chemical industries of repetitive, dirty and dangerous tasks.
The award ceremony took place on Friday evening as part of a gala at the Lucerne Culture and Convention Center (KKL). Around 400 invited guests attended the event, according to the press release. According to the statement, this was the 27th time the prize has been awarded.
