Fallen trees interrupted regional rail services in three places in Switzerland on Saturday morning. In the Bern region, the Bern-Schwarzenburg and Belp-Thun S-Bahn lines were affected.

According to a statement from the SBB railroad information service, the duration of the disruption was undetermined. In the Lucerne region, a tree fell onto the tracks on the Langnau i.E. - Lucerne line between Wolhusen and Schachen LU.

It is not clear from the reports why the trees fell, but the snow could be the cause. Between Wimmis and Boltigen BE in the Bernese Oberland, an obstacle on the tracks also made rail traffic impossible on Saturday morning. And between Lucerne and Hochdorf LU, a technical fault caused an interruption on the Lucerne-Lenzburg AG line.
