National Councillor Flavia Wasserfallen is still in the running for the Council of States elections and has a good chance of being elected. If she succeeds in this election, Andrea Zryd would take her place in the National Council. Reto Nause has been newly elected to the Bern City Council. He ran for the center. He won the seat at the expense of his party colleague Heinz Siegenthaler, who was not re-elected. Also not re-elected was Green National Councillor Natalie Imboden. Ueli Schmezer gained notoriety in German-speaking Switzerland as the host of the SRF show Kassensturz and ran for the SP. However, he was not elected. There are more men than women.
