Federal Council says no to neutrality initiative

The Federal Council does not wish to enshrine Switzerland's perpetual armed neutrality in the constitution. It rejects the popular initiative on "Safeguarding Swiss neutrality (neutrality initiative)" and does not intend to oppose it with a counter-proposal.
