Female climber falls to her death on the Ferdenrothorn VS

A 38-year-old Russian climber has died in a fall on the Ferdenrothorn in Valais. Her body was found several hundred meters below the summit at the end of October.
The report about the missing alpinist was received by the police operations center on 26 October, the cantonal police announced on Thursday. The woman had left Kummenalp the day before with the aim of climbing the Ferdenrothorn and had not returned.
The cantonal rescue organization and its partners conducted a search in the area. On 27 October, the emergency services were able to locate the climber lifeless around 240 meters below the Ferdenrothorn. The public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
