Gale-force winds of 171 km/h measured on the Säntis

Storm "Frederico" is blowing through Switzerland: 171 km/h were measured on the Säntis shortly before midnight. The strongest gust on the Titlis was 146 km/h, as reported by SRF Meteo on Friday night.
On the Nieschberg above Herisau AR and the Napf BE, the wind blew at 135 km/h, according to the weather service. On the Hörnli ZH it was still 134 km/h. "Storm Frederico, that was violent," wrote SRF Meteo on X, formerly Twitter.
In some municipalities in the canton of Schaffhausen, the storm caused a brief power outage on Friday night.
