Glarner Kantonalbank announces the death of its long-standing Chairman

Glarner Kantonalbank (GLKB) has announced the death of its long-standing Chairman of the Board of Directors, Martin Leutenegger. The current Vice Chairman Urs Gnos will take over the chairmanship for the remaining term of office.
According to the press release issued on Wednesday, 57-year-old Leutenegger had been Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2008 and was also a member of the Strategy and Personnel Committee as well as the Risk Committee. "GLKB is losing an extremely competent and prudent Chairman and colleague who has made a major contribution to the development of Glarner Kantonalbank", the press release states.
Vice-Chairman Gnos, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2009, will now take over as Chairman for the remaining term of office. He is a partner at the law firm Walder Wyss AG in Zurich and holds various directorships. According to further information, Konrad Marti will take over as Vice Chairman with immediate effect.
