In Brienz GR, Switzerland, 85 millimeters of rain fell in July, leading to an increase in the speed of landslides and the number of stones and blocks falling from the mountain. The stones and blocks fell from the area known as "Front", which is located just above the area that experienced a landslide in mid-June. However, the dangerous area known as "Plateau" did not experience any large-scale acceleration, so the residents of Brienz are not in immediate danger. The public is still advised to stay away from the area behind and above the village.
