Helvetia CEO Does Not See Fusion with Bâloise as an Option

Helvetia, a Swiss insurance group, is looking to expand its presence in Europe under the leadership of its new CEO, Fabian Rupprecht. The company is aiming to become an integrated European insurance company, with a focus on closer collaboration and synergy within the group. The growth strategy is based on organic growth and targeted acquisitions, with a particular focus on countries such as France, Germany, Austria and Italy. Despite market rumours, there are currently no plans for a merger with Bâloise.
The Verwaltungsratspräsident, Thomas Schmuckli, also emphasised the importance of diversity and inclusion in the company's future leadership. He noted that the Swiss brand of Helvetia stands for reliability and stability, which are attractive values in the financial sector. The company is committed to staying true to these values even as it expands internationally.
