Following riots after the second play-off semi-final game between Lausanne and Fribourg-Gotttéron on Wednesday, the two clubs have agreed on measures. Visiting fans will have to identify themselves at the remaining games of the series in order to enter the visitors' sector.

The new regulations were agreed on Friday and will come into force from Saturday's match in Freiburg, the clubs announced in a joint communiqué. Riots are unacceptable, no matter how much is at stake. The Romand derby should remain an ice hockey festival where everyone feels safe.

On Wednesday, there had already been acrimony between the fan groups during the game. According to media reports, HC Lausanne supporters had stopped Gottéron fans' cars after the game. After a brawl and bottles and fireworks being thrown, the police used rubber bullets and tear gas. According to the authorities, there were no injuries.
