Indictment for Bombing in Basel and Purchasing Explosives

The Swiss Federal Prosecutor has brought charges against two men for explosives offences. The 27-year-old and 25-year-old suspects from Basel-Stadt and Basel-Land are accused of carrying out an explosives attack on a property in Basel's Bruderholz district on 30 March 2022, causing damage of 170,000 Swiss francs but no injuries. It is further alleged that on 20 June 2022, the two men travelled to Stuttgart with the intention of buying four packages of approximately 500 grams of plastic explosives for 2000 euros and bringing them back to Basel. It is believed that they wanted to intimidate wealthy people with attacks.nnnnnnnnnn
