Investigation into house fire with three fatalities in Wiggen LU closed

The public prosecutor's office has closed the criminal investigation into a house fire with three dead children in Wiggen LU at the end of January 2024. They were unable to determine who was responsible for the fire in the kitchen waste.
The fire broke out in the kitchen waste of the house, as the Lucerne public prosecutor's office announced on Friday. At the time, fire investigators assumed negligence in handling the garbage.
The fire in Wiggen occurred on January 22, 2024, killing three children and injuring three adults. According to the authorities, the adults were the parents of the three children and the woman's partner, who all lived in the two apartments of the farmhouse.
