Italian actress Isabella Rossellini walked the blue carpet in Lucerne on Saturday evening. She received the European Film Award for her European contribution to world cinema.

Curious passers-by stood in the cold and rain outside the Lucerne Culture and Convention Center (KKL) on Saturday evening, where the cars with guests for the 37th European Film Awards Gala arrived. However, some had also traveled all the way to the event, such as Stefan Wälti from the Zurich Oberland. Among other things, he was waiting especially for Isabella Rossellini's appearance.

She was one of the last guests to arrive, taking time for photos and answering questions from the many journalists who had traveled from all over Europe. Isabella Rossellini will be honored at the KKL later on Saturday evening for her European contribution to world cinema.

She was "very surprised and flattered" by the award, she told the Keystone-SDA news agency a few days ago. The 72-year-old daughter of Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman and Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini visibly walked the blue carpet leading up to the gala in anticipation. Global star Rossellini has shown her acting talent in a number of films ("Conclave" 2024, "Blue Velvet" 1986) and has also directed.
