Joanna Kamm leaves Liste Art Fair Basel

Joanna Kamm was Artistic Director of Liste Art Fair Basel for over five years. Now the Munich-born artist is leaving the fair. This was announced by the Liste Basel Foundation on Thursday. Peter Bläuer will take over her position on an interim basis for the 2024 edition of the fair.
Joanna Kamm is "leaving the list after a long illness and will be taking a new direction", the foundation wrote in the press release. The foundation is grateful for the time, energy and passion that Kamm invested in the fair.
The management of the trade fair will be reorganized and a co-directorate implemented. The decision is aimed at "optimally managing the diversity and complexity of the trade fair and distributing the responsibility of the management over two shoulders", the Keystone-SDA news agency was asked.
Peter Bläuer, co-founder and long-standing director of the fair, is taking over as artistic director on an interim basis. The position of Artistic Director will be advertised shortly. Reto Nussbaum took over as Commercial Director of the trade fair in October 2023.
Liste Art Fair takes place parallel to Art Basel. It is regarded as an important platform for young artists and galleries. The fair was founded in 1996.
