Long waiting times again in front of the Gotthard road tunnel

The journey south also required patience early on Saturday. Shortly before 5.30 a.m., the cars were jammed for ten kilometers in front of the Gotthard north portal between Erstfeld and Göschenen UR, as the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) announced on the online platform X.
According to the TCS, the time lost was one hour and 40 minutes. There was no way for motorists to get around: the pass road was still closed due to all the snow.
By Friday evening, the queue of cars in front of the Gotthard north portal had already reached a length of ten kilometers. The traffic jam then temporarily eased again.
