Man charged with rapes in Wetzikon and Wädenswil ZH

A Romanian man has been charged with two sexual offenses in Wetzikon and Wädenswil in the canton of Zurich between August 2022 and February 2023. According to the investigations so far, he is responsible for both offenses, the cantonal senior public prosecutor's office announced.
The 28-year-old was arrested on the same day in February last year following a sexual offense in Wädenswil after intensive search measures, as was reported on Thursday.
After intensive investigations by the cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office I as well as the evaluation of DNA traces, it must be assumed that the arrested man committed both the sexual offense of August 21, 2022 in Wetzikon and the one of February 26, 2023 in Wädenswil.
