Michael Hauser confirmed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Starrag-Tornos

Michael Hauser has been re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the StarragTornos Group. The machine tool group held its first Annual General Meeting in Rorschach SG since the merger between Tornos in Moutier BE and Starrag in Rorschacherberg SG.

"The members of the Board of Directors Walter Fust, Adrian Stürm, Michael Hauser, Christian Androschin, Bernhard Iseli and Till Fust were re-elected for a term of office of one year," the Group announced.

François Frôté and Michel Rollier did not stand for re-election. Both had been members of the Board of Directors of Tornos Holding for over 20 years, between 2002 and 2023, with Frôté even serving as its Chairman from the beginning until the merger.

The shareholders approved all of the Board of Directors' proposals on Saturday, according to the press release. They accepted a dividend distribution of CHF 1.25 per share from retained earnings and a tax-free distribution of CHF 1.25 from capital contribution reserves (totaling CHF 2.50 per share).

The StarragTornos Group employs around 2000 people and is headquartered in Rorschacherberg SG. The merger took place in December 2023. The Group operates sales and service, production and development sites in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, the UK, the USA, Mexico, Brazil as well as in China, Thailand, the Taiwan region and India.
