Mushroom picker in Trub BE killed in an accident

A mushroom picker had a fatal accident on the Schynenalp in Trub in the canton of Bern on Wednesday afternoon. The man was reported missing but could only be found dead.
A search operation was immediately launched, as the Bern cantonal police announced on Thursday. With the help of a sniffer dog, the man was finally located lifeless in the area.
The deceased was a 72-year-old Swiss national from the canton of Bern. The police have started an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
