News portal Nau acquires majority stake in online travel portal Travelnews

Nau Media AG is expanding. The news portal acquires a majority stake in Travelnews AG, an online portal for travel and tourism.
Travelnews will remain an independent company, as Nau.ch announced on Thursday. The editorial team will continue to work independently from its own office in Zurich.
Marketing, on the other hand, will be handled jointly by both titles in future. The aim is to combine forces and exploit synergies. Travelnews hopes that its partner Nau.ch will help it to rise from a niche portal to a "nationally relevant medium".
For its part, Nau.ch has recently launched various new digital magazines on the market, including on the topic of "Travel". Bundling the offerings on both the user and customer side is a win-win situation for everyone, according to the reasons for the investment.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms or the purchase price.
