No danger due to power outage in Lucerne

According to the authorities, the power outage in parts of the city of Lucerne poses no danger. The canton called on the population in the affected area to remain in their current location.
The population in the area affected by the power outage should not use any lifts, the canton of Lucerne announced via the Alertswiss warning service shortly before 03:00 on Saturday. The power supply would be restored as quickly as possible.
The power outage affected the left side of the city on the lake. The power went out at around 00:30, as a spokeswoman for the energy supplier Energie Wasser Luzern told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. The cause was initially unclear.
