Petra Gössi of the Swiss FDP is on track to become the first female Swiss representative in the Council of States after the count of 23 out of 30 Swiss municipalities. So far, SVP National Councilor Pirmin Schwander has the second most votes. The incumbent Council of States member Othmar Reichmuth would thus be out of the running.
