Four Turks were stopped by the Grisons Cantonal Police on the A13 near Trimmis GR on Sunday night. Two of them are accused of trying to smuggle the other two into a Swiss neighbouring state. They were deported and reported.

The four men were driving in a car registered in Austria from Trimmis towards Landquart late on Saturday night when they were stopped and checked by the police, as the authorities announced on Friday. This raised suspicions that the two Turks aged 37 and 38, who live in Austria, could be smugglers. The other two passengers, aged 26 and 27, did not have a Swiss visa. The Federal Office for Customs and Border Protection (BAZG) was called in for further checks. Meanwhile, the Office for Migration and Civil Law issued a deportation order. The alleged smugglers were issued two-year entry bans and reported to the Graubünden Public Prosecutor's Office.
