For the first time, a member of the Swiss Federal Council, Alain Berset (SP), visited the Zurich Street Parade. He was accompanied by Zurich City President Corine Mauch (SP) and met with Joel Meier, President of the Street Parade Association, and Marek Krynski, the founder of the event. The meeting took place at the Hotel Baur au Lac, as reported by a Keystone-SDA reporter. Berset arrived at Zurich Bellevue on a boat, as seen in a video by SRF News.
