Rainbow Pride Parade Through the City of Lucerne

On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered in Lucerne for the Central Swiss Pride Festival. After speeches, the colourful Pride march set off through the city at nightfall. Kristine Garina, President of the European Pride Organisation Association, was among the speakers. Lucerne's Mayor Beat Züsli (SP) also addressed the community at the festival grounds, expressing his belief that the diverse society is a great enrichment. The march route started at the Pavillon at Schweizerhofquai, passed the Seebrücke, then the Theaterplatz and Reussbrücke, before ending at the Löwenplatz by the Bourbaki-Panorama, where the afterparty was held. The theme of the second Central Swiss Pride was "Together!". Last year, Lucerne hosted its first Pride in 17 years, with around 2000 people in attendance.nnnnnnnnnnnn
