Rescue operation after avalanche at Oeschinensee BE

An avalanche occurred at Oeschinensee above Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland on Thursday afternoon. According to the police, several people were affected; it was not initially known whether there were any injuries. Four helicopters were deployed.
At 2.01 p.m., the Bernese cantonal police received the report of the avalanche, as a spokeswoman told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. The rescue operation with special services of the cantonal police was still underway in the afternoon.
