Results of the Council of States Election in the Canton of SO

The citizens of the canton of Solothurn have elected Pirmin Bischof (centre, previously) to the Council of States. A second round of voting will take place on 19 November to decide the second seat. The absolute majority required to win the seat was 43,160 votes. This election marks the first time in the canton's history that two rounds of voting are necessary to decide the second seat. The second round of voting will take place on 19 November and the result will determine who will join Pirmin Bischof in the Council of States.
