SPD down in Berlin election rerun – CDU and AfD up

In the partial repeat of the Bundestag election in Berlin, the SPD and FDP, the parties with the traffic light system, suffered significant losses - the co-governing Greens, on the other hand, were able to almost maintain their 2021 result. The opposition parties CDU and AfD made significant gains in the capital, as was evident after the counting of all constituencies on the state election administration's website. The election was repeated on Sunday due to organizational glitches in a fifth of Berlin's constituencies.
