The second projection from GFS Bern on behalf of SRG predicts that the FDP will gain a seat in the National Council in the canton of Thurgau, at the expense of the Greens, who snatched the seat from the FDP four years ago. After counting 56 of the 81 municipalities, the second projection confirms the initial trend that the Liberals will emerge as the winners, at the expense of the Greens. The projection predicts significant losses for the SP, Greens and GLP, who have formed a joint list. Instead of the hoped-for two National Council seats, this list is expected to win only one seat, which will go to the SP. The SVP is expected to have a voter share of more than 40 percent, which should allow them to retain their three of the six Thurgau National Council seats. The seat distribution in Thurgau would therefore be as follows: SVP 3 (previously), Centre 1 (previously), SP 1 (previously), FDP 1 (+1), Greens 0 (-1).
