The Swiss People's Party (SVP) has won a second seat in the National Council of the canton of Ticino. Together with the Lega, they now hold three of the eight seats in the canton. The centre-party has lost a seat, leaving them with only one in the National Council. The left-green parties remain stable in the southern canton. This result means that the SVP and Lega now hold a combined total of four seats in the National Council of Ticino, while the centre-party holds one. This is a significant shift in the political landscape of the canton, with the right-wing parties gaining a stronger foothold.
