The talented musician Nemo from Biel is looking forward to performing at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). "I'm extremely excited about everything that's coming," Nemo told Keystone-SDA on Thursday evening during a performance in front of the embassy of the Eurovision host country.

The Swedish and British embassies had invited Nemo to celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest and the 50th anniversary of ABBA's victory.

Preparing for the ESC is also an intensive phase for the talented singer. "The pressure is there, it's constant," said the Swiss ESC hopeful. "I'm in the whirlwind of everything."

"It's like being thrown in at the deep end," Nemo continues. Thanks to the support of friends and family, however, the pressure is manageable.

Nemo will be competing for Switzerland at the ESC in Malmö, Sweden, at the beginning of May. Various betting agencies believe that the Swiss representative has a good chance of winning with the song "The Code". Nemo does not attach much importance to these predictions. "Such bets don't tell the whole story," says Nemo.

"The Code" is a very personal song. "I can put all my energy into it. At the same time, I feel so vulnerable and it gets so close to me when I sing it live". The talented musician was convinced that people would feel that too.
