The airline Swiss will now not operate the Zurich-Tel Aviv route up to and including August 12. Following a further review of the situation in the Middle East, it decided on Monday to extend the suspension of flights to Israel announced last week by four days.

In addition, Swiss aircraft will completely avoid airspace over Iran until Wednesday, August 7, the airline announced on Monday.

The airspace over Israel and Iraq has not been flown over since last Friday. Flights to and from Beirut have also been suspended; this suspension will last until August 12.

Swiss, which is part of the Lufthansa Group, will continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East closely and is in constant contact with the relevant authorities, as it wrote in its press release.
