The airline Swiss will be offering flights to Beirut again from December 16. Flights to Tel Aviv remain suspended.
Following an in-depth analysis of the situation, Swiss has come to the conclusion that safe flight operations to and from Beirut can be guaranteed, the airline announced on Friday. The Lebanese capital will therefore be served until January 13. After that, the route will not be operated during the winter months as planned. Flights to Beirut up to and including December 15 remain canceled.
Flights to the Israeli coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv have been canceled for the time being until January 7. The situation in the conflict region will continue to be closely monitored, Swiss announced.
Flight tickets already purchased can be refunded or rebooked for this period. This is also possible for flights to or from Beirut until December 31. The reason given by Swiss is that passengers may not wish to travel for personal reasons despite the resumption of flights.
