Swiss hang-glider crashes in Vorarlberg

A Swiss man crashed with a motorized hang glider early Sunday evening in Langen near Bregenz (Austria) after colliding with a tree from a height of 10 to 15 meters. According to initial findings, the 40-year-old pilot suffered a spinal injury.

The man was taken by helicopter to Feldkirch Regional Hospital, according to the police.

The aircraft accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the Hirschbergsau parcel of land near an old football pitch. It was not yet clear why the 40-year-old came into contact with the tree with his aircraft.
