Swiss Radio and Television SRF online comments on the outcome of the Ukraine peace conference at Bürgenstock NW as follows:
"The picture is mixed. It is not as negative as skeptics thought in advance. And certainly more positive than the Russian leaders claimed. (...) Less important in the summit declaration are the stipulations and demands on specific points (...) More remarkable are the clear summit commitments to international law, the UN Charter, sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Ukraine. (...) The price for the clarity of the summit declaration is that a number of states now do not support it. These include the emerging economies in the Brics group, including India, Brazil and South Africa. (...) This is due to pressure from China, which has now completely sided with Russia. (...) Another Ukraine summit is not planned for the time being. This is disappointing for Switzerland. (...)"
