Swiss Solidarity collects over 54 million francs in 2023

Swiss Solidarity collected over CHF 54 million in 2023. It supported 344 aid organization projects with almost 70 million francs. As it announced on Friday, this is the highest level of support since the tsunami in Southeast Asia in 2005.
After the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, Swiss Solidarity received over 32 million francs in donations. The people also showed their solidarity with the earthquake victims in Morocco and Afghanistan and the humanitarian disaster in the Middle East.
Added to this were the war in Ukraine and the Solidarity Week in December for education and training in Switzerland and around the world. Most of the aid went to Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, East Africa and Switzerland.
