Ten injured after collision between car and bus in Koblenz AG

Ten people were injured in a violent collision between a Postbus and a passenger car in Koblenz AG on Tuesday afternoon. The driver of the car and a child from the bus were taken to hospital by helicopter.
The Postbus driver was trapped and had to be freed, said Pascal Wenzel, spokesman for the Aargau cantonal police, on request. A total of eight passengers, including four children, suffered injuries.
The accident happened at 1.30 p.m. at the Aare bridge on the route from Koblenz towards Felsenau. The cantonal road was still closed early Tuesday evening. After the collision, the Postbus tipped onto its right side.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet known. In addition to the police and rescue helicopter, the fire department and ambulances were also deployed. The "Aargauer Zeitung" online portal first reported on the accident.
