Ten kilometers of traffic jam in front of the Gotthard tunnel heading north

A traffic jam ten kilometers long formed in front of the Gotthard heading south on Friday. The waiting time between Erstfeld and Göschenen was up to one hour and 40 minutes.
This was announced by the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) via the short message service X. Northbound road users also had to be patient. Between Quinto and Airolo, the traffic jam was five kilometers long in the early afternoon. The time lost amounted to 50 minutes.
