In mid-February, a passenger was caught with around 1.4 kilograms of cocaine on the Paris-Lausanne TGV. He had hidden the drugs in two milk bottles.

The 29-year-old Nigerian was arrested by customs officers who checked his identity. He had neither a residence permit nor a visa to stay in the Schengen area, as the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security wrote in a statement on Tuesday.

During the check, the customs officers searched his rucksack, which contained two milk bottles. When they opened them, they found cocaine with a total weight of almost 1.4 kilograms.

The man and the narcotics were handed over to the Vaud cantonal police. The Vaud public prosecutor's office opened proceedings.
