The Final Result of the National Council Elections

The Swiss People's Party (SVP) won nine seats in the National Council following the count of all 26 cantons. The Centre party won three seats and the Social Democratic Party (SP) two. The Green Liberals lost six seats, while the Greens lost five. This interim result of the National Council elections at 22.40 pm gives the SVP a clear majority in the Council. The Centre and SP will form the opposition. The Green Liberals and Greens will have to wait for the final results to determine their final seat count.
