Ticino cantonal police report a quiet night

The Ticino cantonal police have spoken of a quiet night despite the heavy rainfall. There have been no incidents so far, as a police spokesperson told the Keystone-SDA news agency early on Monday morning.
"The night was no longer special", said a spokesperson for the Ticino cantonal police. There have also been no incidents in the region around Mendrisio so far.
It rained heavily in southern Ticino on Monday night. In Mendrisiotto, the Federal Office of Climatology and Meteorology (MeteoSwiss) recorded over 200 liters of rain per square meter within 24 hours, as reported on the X platform on Monday night.
