“Timetable” for construction of replacement bridge should be in place by Thursday

The "timetable" for the construction of a temporary bridge between Visletto and Cevio in the upper Maggia Valley should be in place by Thursday. This was announced by the emergency staff of the canton of Ticino at a media conference on Monday evening.
For the time being, further "technical consolidation" is required, explained Federico Chiesa, Head of the Military and Civil Protection Department, to the media in Locarno.
Two working groups are currently working on two different studies to find a solution for a temporary or semi-provisional bridge over the Maggia as quickly as possible.
Parts of the Visletto bridge between Visletto and Cevio were swept away by the masses of water following a heavy storm on Saturday night.
