Two paragliders die in a crash on Clariden

A man and a woman crashed and died during a paragliding tandem flight on Clariden GL on Sunday afternoon. The exact circumstances of the accident are currently being investigated.
For unclear reasons, the team got into difficulties after the start, as the Uri cantonal police, who had responded to the accident, reported on Monday. The crash then occurred on the north face of the Clariden.
The paragliders were a 51-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman. The investigation is being led by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland and the cause of the accident is being investigated by the Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board.
The Clariden is located in the Glarus Alps in Switzerland. It is located on the border between the cantons of Uri and Glarus.
