Woman dies in room fire in Montreux VD

A woman died in a house fire in Montreux VD on Wednesday. Firefighters found her lifeless in the room after the fire was reported to them.
A lot of smoke came out of the room, as the Vaud cantonal police reported on Thursday. An investigation has been launched into the causes of the fire. The responsible public prosecutor's office has also opened a criminal investigation. The occupant of the room has not yet been formally identified.
