Young socialists call for the SP to leave the Federal Council

The Young Socialists are calling for the SP to leave the Federal Council. Only when the Federal Assembly is ready to end the FDP-SVP majority should the SP rejoin the government as a minority, the Young Socialists announced on Wednesday.
Even with the newly elected SP Federal Councillor Beat Jans, a majority from the FDP and SVP will continue to dominate the committee, criticized the Juso. This means that the Federal Council does not represent the interests of the majority of the population.
According to the Juso, the withdrawal of the SP federal councillors from the Federal Council is intended to build up pressure. Nicola Siegrist, President of Juso Switzerland, was quoted in the press release as saying that "we must go into opposition".
