SIX bolsters its global indexing and technology presence by acquiring a stake in German firm Bita.
The Swiss stock exchange operator SIX is acquiring a stake in the German index technology provider Bita. This is intended to expand the existing indexing and technology partnership, SIX announced in a press release on Wednesday.
The investment is intended to strengthen a number of existing joint projects and accelerate the expansion of SIX’s global benchmark platform.
In addition to SIX, existing Bita shareholders ETFS Capital, Volta Ventures and Pamica also invested in the round.
SIX did not disclose the amount of the investment in the communiqué. The financial terms of SIX’s investment in Bita were not disclosed, a spokesperson told the news agency AWP.
The Swiss stock exchange operator and the German company Bita have been working together since 2022.
They have developed a new series of global equity indices and accelerated the market launch of offerings for customers. In the meantime, the collaboration has also expanded to the area of cryptocurrencies.
