The Swiss People's Party (SVP) in the canton of Lucerne has formed a list alliance with the Mass-Voll movement for the upcoming National Council elections. The alliance is intended to strengthen the conservative camp and increase voter turnout. The SVP stated that the alliance is a purely tactical partnership, with each party maintaining its independence and pursuing its own political goals. The SVP lost its third National Council seat four years ago, and the alliance with Mass-Voll could be the tipping point for regaining it. Mass-Voll is participating in federal elections for the first time. The movement, led by Nicolas Rimoldi, was formed during the coronavirus pandemic as a critic of government measures. The Lucerne list of Mass-Voll includes former FDP politician Daniel Wettstein from the city of Lucerne.nnnnnnnnnn
