Three Party Alliances in National Council Elections in Schaffhausen

In the canton of Schaffhausen, three list combinations have been formed for the elections on October 22nd. These consist of parties from the right-wing, left-green and centre. The number of candidates and lists has not changed since the list closure two weeks ago, as the canton announced after the deadline on Monday evening. All lists meet the formal requirements. The parties submitted three list combinations: SVP and FDP with their respective youth parties and other sub-lists, as well as EDU, form a list combination. SP and Greens and their respective youth parties submit a list combination. GLP, its youth party, the middle and the EVP also form a connection. In total, 38 people are running for one of the two Schaffhausen National Council seats, 13 women and 25 men. Their names are on 20 lists. The number of candidates and lists in Schaffhausen is significantly higher than four years ago. At the federal elections in the autumn of 2019, there were 15 lists with seven candidates and 22 candidates.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
