Nationwide Clean-Up Actions Against Littering

On Friday, tens of thousands of people across Switzerland collected and correctly disposed of waste as part of the two-day "Clean-Up-Days" event. Participants included school children and volunteers, as well as companies who allowed their employees to collect waste in public areas. Former football player Lara Dickenmann also supported the event, and will be collecting waste herself on Saturday. This year, an estimated 60,000 people are taking part in around 700 events, collecting several tonnes of waste and recyclables. The national Clean-Up-Days are part of the World Cleanup Day, which is taking place on Saturday.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
