Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, will travel to Bern this weekend for a courtesy visit. He will be received by Swiss President Alain Berset. Current regional issues in the Western Balkans and the bilateral relations between Switzerland and Kosovo will be discussed, according to the Swiss Federal Department of the Interior (EDI). On the evening of his visit, Kurti will hold a meeting with Albanian-speaking candidates for the National Council at the Embassy of Kosovo in Bern, according to Le Canton27.ch. During his stay in Switzerland, he will also visit several cantons. In the last two years, representatives of Kosovo have visited Switzerland at least ten times. More than 300,000 Albanian-speaking people currently live and work in Switzerland, according to Le Canton27.ch and the Federal Statistical Office (BFS).
